Release notes

What’s new

Recent Studio updates. The latest version is 1.0.133.

1.0.133

  • An agent whose coding tool is too old for the newest model now runs the newest model that tool supports instead of failing every turn; a room note tells you when the tool needs updating.
  • The room note offers a button to run that tool's own updater.
  • An agent stuck because its tool is too old for the chosen model is no longer nudged to try again on every turn.
  • The first-run pointer arrows no longer appear for people who already have teams and rooms.

1.0.132

  • Default coordinators are named for the model they run: Aspect Falcon, Aspect Goose, Aspect Gorilla, Aspect Orca, Aspect Stag and Aspect Condor.
  • Every default coordinator now runs on the top model available to it, at low reasoning effort.
  • Choosing a coordinator that runs on this Mac, or on a model more than a step behind the latest, asks you to confirm first.
  • A default coordinator whose model or effort had drifted from the default is set back on launch; changes you made yourself are kept.
  • A message you were typing no longer disappears when the window is resized or you leave the room and come back.
  • A coordinator's message to a teammate in the same room no longer goes unanswered while that teammate is online.
  • The coordinator is no longer told a room has no board, or that an online teammate is offline, in its instructions.

1.0.131

  • On Teams, Recommend a team asks what you are working on and your lead proposes three casts to choose from — or you can still build your own.
  • Which cast is active is chosen from the Team box in the sidebar; the switcher inside a room is gone.
  • A half-typed message in the composer is kept when you switch rooms or open a card thread.
  • Updating Studio no longer shows the welcome page to accounts that already have teams on this Mac.

1.0.130

  • Milo joins the bench as Quick Coder — for small, well-specified changes turned around fast.
  • Kit and Cass no longer appear on the bench for new teams; teams that already have them are unchanged.
  • Sonnet 5 Thinking and Opus 5 Thinking are now available when you choose a model for a persona.

1.0.129

  • Signing back in on a new Mac with teams already saved in the cloud no longer replays the welcome page or first-run guided arrows.
  • Studio waits for your saved teams and personas to restore before treating you as a new user.
  • The dashboard opens correctly when your library is still loading at launch.

1.0.128

  • A welcome page now greets new accounts with what Studio is for and the path to a first reply, before the connect checklist.
  • Guided arrows now point at key first-run steps — deploying your team, adding from the bench, sending your first message — and step aside when you are already doing something else.
  • The team bench is now a table you can sort and group by function, provider, or readiness; opening a row shows the persona's full contract.
  • Studio now says "coding tool" instead of "CLI" in labels and help, matching the rest of the product.

1.0.127

  • The Steps column now advances from the board's cards — when every card for a step is done, that step is marked complete and the highlight moves on.
  • Choosing Steps from the board header now steers the coordinator on your next message the same way typing the slash name in chat does.

1.0.126

  • A board's Steps now guide the coordinator on every message you send while the board follows them, including which step it is on — not only the first message after you chose them.
  • The card count beside each step on the board now reflects cards filed for that step.

1.0.125

  • An agent that couldn’t start now says so in the room and explains what to do, instead of leaving a blank console and a message that never arrives.
  • An agent that named the wrong place in one of its requests is no longer locked out of its workspace for the rest of its session.

1.0.124

  • Confirmations, rename prompts, and delete warnings now use one Studio dialog that names the team or room you are acting on.
  • Settings, help and onboarding now use the same words throughout.
  • The waiting-questions and staffing-plan popovers fit their content instead of showing a scrollbar inside a half-empty box.
  • The get-to-your-first-reply guide no longer appears every time you open an established workspace.
  • Turning on your team from Usage now lists only the agents who are actually offline.

1.0.123

  • If your workspace is scheduled for deletion, a notice appears when you open Studio — owners can tap Restore workspace to cancel it.
  • After Reset everything with workspace deletion checked, you have seven days to sign back in and take it back; Studio now tells you that and offers the button.
  • Empty Journal, Rooms, and Search screens center their symbol and message in the pane instead of sitting under the header.
  • The date on the deletion notice now matches when the workspace will be removed.

1.0.122

  • Teams opens to your crews and what is running — create a team from the home page and edit it on the team page.
  • Recipes are now called Steps. A room can show a Steps checklist beside the board lanes, chosen from the board header.
  • On the team page, a bench lists personas you can add; drag members between bench and crew, or use each card's menu for lead, connection, and remove.
  • Moving a card between lanes plays the same arrival animation as adding a new card.
  • New guides walk you through deploying your first team and sending your first message until an agent replies.
  • Choosing Steps in a room no longer replays progress from earlier messages.
  • If arming Steps fails, your place in the checklist is kept when you try again.
  • Changing a member’s connection no longer discards other edits you made to the team.
  • Adding a card from the board with only a title now works.
